As we’ve stated previosly on this site: nutrition is an essential part of managing your diabetes. Eating properly to consume the required amount of calories is a challenge, especially becuase it’s not always clear how calories look like in terms of food quantity or quality.

 

Just yesterday, I stumbled upon this video that shows what 200 calories look like, and I thought it would be worth sharing here. It compares junk food vs healthy food, and it wilgive you an idea of what to eat and how much. For example, 200 calories worth of celery will last you all day since one strip has around 1 calorie only. Three apples are also worth 200 calories, so they would really keep you satisfied. However, a Big Mac has 600
